Reduce Your Bounce Rates

Your bounce rate is a crucial metric.  For example if you have a bounce rate of 80%, that means that out of every 100 people that visit your site, 80 leave immediately.  Basically it is the percentage of people that visit a page but leave without visiting another.

OUCH! You are missing out on a load of business there. You must have left a terrible impression for 80% of your visitors to leave immediately.  This damages the bottom line profits of your business as your visitors click the back space button and go to your competitors.

Bounce rates are critical for search rankings along with other user engagement signals.  Search engines do not like high bounce rates as it shows them that users never had a good experience at your site.

Put yourself into the shoes of your visitor?  If it was you would you stay?  Would you know what action to take next on the site?
